This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) governs the use of all Dprime Hosting services. By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy. Violation may result in service suspension or termination without refund.
This policy exists to protect all customers sharing our infrastructure, maintain service quality, and ensure compliance with applicable law. We enforce it consistently and without exception for serious violations.
The following content is strictly prohibited on our servers and will result in immediate suspension:
- Illegal content under applicable law
- Child exploitation material of any kind, reported to authorities immediately
- Content that infringes on intellectual property rights (copyright, trademarks)
- Malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware, or other malicious software
- Phishing websites, credential-harvesting pages, or fraudulent content
- Content promoting violence, terrorism, or hate speech
- Unauthorised copies of copyrighted material
- Adult content of any kind
The following activities are not permitted on any Dprime Hosting service:
- Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam) or operating as a spam relay
- Operating open mail relays or open proxy servers
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any system or network
- DDoS attacks, botnet participation, or facilitating attacks on others
- Port scanning, network probing, or vulnerability scanning of external systems
- Cryptocurrency mining without prior written approval
- Running IRC bots or IRC servers without prior written approval
- Excessive resource usage that measurably impacts other customers on shared infrastructure
Our shared hosting plans are designed for typical website hosting workloads. The following fair usage guidelines apply to shared hosting accounts:
- CPU usage: should not exceed 25% of server capacity for extended periods (15+ minutes)
- RAM: usage must remain within your plan's allocation
- Disk I/O: should not consistently degrade performance for other users
- Database connections: must be optimised; persistent connections should be closed properly
- Email sending: must comply with anti-spam best practices at all times
Accounts consistently exceeding fair usage will be contacted and may be asked to upgrade to a higher-tier plan or a VPS solution. We will always discuss this before taking action.
Email hosting must be used responsibly. The following limits and requirements apply:
- Maximum 500 emails per hour per account on shared hosting plans
- All email lists must be opt-in with verifiable, documented consent
- Unsubscribe mechanisms must be functional, prominent, and honoured within 10 business days
- Accurate sender name, reply-to address, and physical address must be included in bulk emails
- Purchased or harvested email lists are not permitted under any circumstances
Customers are responsible for maintaining the security of their hosting accounts and installed applications:
- Keep all software, scripts, CMS installations, and plugins updated to their latest versions
- Use strong, unique passwords for cPanel, FTP, databases, and application admin accounts
- Configure installed applications (WordPress, Joomla, etc.) according to security best practices
- Monitor your account for suspicious activity, unexpected file changes, or unusual traffic
- Report any suspected security compromise to hello@dprimehosting.com immediately
Outdated software is the most common cause of hosting account compromise. We strongly recommend our Extensive Maintenance plan for customers who need ongoing security monitoring.
We reserve the right to take the following actions in response to policy violations:
- Suspend services immediately for serious violations without prior notice
- Remove content that violates this policy or applicable law
- Terminate accounts for repeated violations with data deletion after 30 days
- Report illegal activity to appropriate law enforcement authorities
- Cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations as required by law
For non-serious violations, we will typically notify the customer and allow a reasonable period (24 to 72 hours) to remedy the issue before taking action.
If you become aware of any violation of this Acceptable Use Policy, please report it to us immediately:
- Abuse reports: hello@dprimehosting.com
- Include URLs, timestamps, and any relevant evidence in your report
- For urgent security incidents: also submit an urgent support ticket
All abuse reports are reviewed promptly. We treat reports confidentially and do not disclose reporter identity.
